Coinbase have today announced its new index fund. Earlier today Coinbase tweeted:

 

Coinbase Index Fund gives investors exposure to all assets on our exchange, which will soon include Ethereum Classic. We’re working on launching more funds which will cover a broader range of digital assets. @coinbase

 

The fund will allow investors to access all cryptos currently listed on coinbase, which is likely to increase in the coming months. The Index fund does however have a minimum investment of $250,000 so it is clearly aimed at large investors. At the moment many investors are wary of putting large sums into crypto exchanges, whereas Coinbase’s reputation will mean this new index fund will attract larger investors.

 

Other Coinbase news

Coinbase have announced they will be adding Ethereum Classic (ETC)! It is expected that there will be further announcements in the coming months. The addition of ETC will annoy many XRP supporters who have been eagerly waiting the same news for XRP.
