Revolut, the digital banking alternative has today launched a new metal card which offers up to 1% cashback in 29 currencies including Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ether.

The card which is actually made of metal is the latest from Revolut and the 1% cashback in crypto is sure to attract crypto enthusiasts. Revolut are constantly looking at ways to incorporate crypto into their alternative banking model.

MAIN Advantages of revolut metal

  • A card made out of steel which is sure to impress your friends
  • The potential to earn up to 1% cashback in crypto - who wouldn't love receiving free crypto right?
  • Free overseas medical insurance
  • Interbank FX rates

MAIN DISADVANTAGES OF REVOLUT METAL

  • No individual cryptocurrency wallet access - meaning you cannot transfer from crypto from your coinbase account into your revolut card and vice versa.
  • The cost - £12.99 seems a bit steep when 'premium' revolt cards are only £6.99. You will need to work out how much you intend on using your card per month to ascertain whether it is worth the extra monthly expenditure.
  • The contract - If you want a Revolut metal card you will have to commit to a 12 month contract or be charged £26 if you terminate the agreement early.
